John Conley - Principal
John is a Principal at SRC and is responsible for all aspects of the development process, including evaluation, acquisition, financing, construction activities and asset management.
John has managed the acquisition and development of nearly $800 MM worth of real estate. Most recently, Mr. Conley served as Manager of Acquisitions and Equity for Jefferson Apartment Group where he oversaw the acquisition, underwriting and sourcing of new projects for the firm. In addition to his acquisition related duties, he also was responsible for sourcing and building relationships with new and existing capital partners.. Prior to joining JAG, Mr. Conley was Acquisitions Manager at Ditto Residential. Prior to Ditto Residential, Mr. Conley worked at 1788 Holdings as a Development Manager overseeing several developments and new acquisition opportunities. He received his MBA from Belmont University and graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2007 with a Bachelors in Economics. Mr. Conley annually organizes an 80-person Race for Hope team which raises money for brain tumor research.
Fernando Riboli is a Principal at Shepherd Realty Capital, LLC focusing on all aspects of sourcing, underwriting, acquisition, financing, capital raising, and asset management. Prior to his time with SRC, he was a Managing Director with Newmark’s Debt & Structured Finance Group. Fernando focused primarily on debt and equity originations through various capital sources having transacted on over $10B in underwriting and originations. Mr. Riboli joined Newmark in 2018 having previously worked at Berkeley Point Capital, Deutsche Bank, and Jones Lang LaSalle, in various credit and production roles. Mr. Riboli received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Colgate University.
Jay Stewart - Principal
Jay is a Principal at SRC and is responsible for all aspects of the development process, including evaluation, acquisition, financing, and construction activities.
Jay previously worked as a Project Manager in the Development group at Boston Properties, where he managed the acquisition, entitlements, and pre-development efforts on over one million square feet of office buildings in New York City. He began his career at CRC Companies, a privately-owned real estate development and investment firm, where he worked on the acquisitions, development and asset management of mixed-use market-rate apartment projects and large-scale military housing partnerships.
Jay holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Dave Yampolsky - Principal
Dave is a Principal at SRC and is responsible for development and construction execution across the multiple asset classes that SRC invests in and develops.
Having worked in real estate since 2004, Dave brings a well-rounded approach to project management and execution. Having led various asset management, property management, development and general contracting teams, he understands the challenges and decisive decisions required to execute a successful real estate project through a holistic lens. Dave’s project experience represents a wide range of asset classes from boutique multifamily renovations to larger ground-up mixed-use and commercial developments. Dave received a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College. He resides in Chevy Chase, MD with his wife and three daughters who are keeping him from improving his golf handicap.
Gareth Taylor - Advisor
Gareth is an Advisor to SRC and helps provide strategic direction and advice on the firms activities.
Gareth Taylor is the founder of Zippy Shell Inc and currently serves as President and on the Board. Since 2010 he has grown the Zippy Shell in the US from a start up to over $250 Million in revenue and raised over $500M in growth capital for business expansion including the acquisition and development of over $250M in real estate. From December 2007 to June 2009, Mr. Taylor was a co-founder and CEO of Zippy Shell Storage Systems in Australia, where he was responsible for the development of the business system and growth of the business. From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Taylor served as a Director at Marakon Associates, now part of Charles River Associates where he advised senior-level executives at Fortune 100 Companies such as Textron Corporation, Alcan, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Roche. Mr. Taylor served in the role of Manager at Huron Consulting Group and Associate at Lehman Brothers Holding. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management (2001) and a B.Sc. from the University of New South Wales Australia in 1995.
Marge Kling - Controller
Marge is the Controller at SRC and is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial management activities.
For the last 15 years, Marge has specialized in the needs of the privately-held business community. She holds an active CPA license and is designated a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has an innate ability to connect with stakeholders and develop solutions that will work within that business’s unique culture and experience.
Prior to her work with privately-held businesses, Marge held leadership positions with Freddie Mac and Prudential Home Mortgage in technology and accounting services. Several career accomplishments in the privately-held business market have been the development and implementation of an accounting system for a private equity company and the stabilization of a distressed private lender..
Ivy is the Executive Assistant at SRC and is responsible for admin tasks.
Ivy is the right hand to John Conley, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the organization. Her responsibilities include managing schedules, organizing meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and handling correspondence. She prioritizes tasks, streamline processes, and act as a gatekeeper for the executive's time and commitments
Shepherd Realty Capital is a boutique real estate investment firm focusing on unique opportunities. SRC has experience in multiple product types including: multi-family, office, self-storage, and industrial. SRC focuses on acquiring or developing properties with asymmetric risk/returns profiles.
